These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CookE mobile application ("App"), operated by CookE ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
CookE is an AI-powered cooking assistant that helps you identify dishes from photos or text, generates structured recipes, and allows follow-up modifications via chat.
2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important: All recipes, dish identifications, and cooking instructions provided by CookE are generated by artificial intelligence and have not been reviewed by professional chefs, nutritionists, or food safety experts.
- You are solely responsible for verifying the safety and suitability of any recipe before cooking.
- Always check for allergens and ingredients that may cause adverse reactions.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.
- Use your own judgment regarding cooking times, temperatures, and ingredient substitutions.
- If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical conditions, consult a qualified professional before following any AI-generated recipe.
3. Account and Authentication
You may sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information during sign-in.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to access the App's backend services through automated means, bots, or scrapers.
- Abuse, overload, or interfere with the App's infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or inappropriate.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Free tier: CookE offers limited free usage of dish identification and recipe generation features.
- Premium: Additional features and higher usage limits are available through a paid subscription.
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. All payments are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play. Access to premium features continues until the end of the current billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
- Your content: You retain all rights to photos and text you submit to the App.
- Generated recipes: AI-generated recipes are provided to you as-is for personal use. We make no claim of ownership over generated recipes.
- App content: The App's design, code, branding, and non-user-generated content are owned by CookE and protected by intellectual property laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any AI-generated content, including recipes and dish identifications.
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on the App's content, including but not limited to foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or injury.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the App at any time.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles.
