About CookE

Hi, I'm Omri Ganor — a software engineer based in Israel and the person behind CookE.

It started when my girlfriend pointed out that I "always make the same 3 things." She wasn't wrong. I rotate between pasta, stir fry, and... slightly different pasta. The problem wasn't motivation — it was that finding a good recipe felt like work. I'd scroll through endless blogs, save TikToks I'd never open again, and give up halfway through a 2,000-word backstory just to find ingredient quantities.

So I built CookE. The idea is simple: take any input — a photo, a TikTok link, a URL, or just a few words describing what you're in the mood for — and get a real, structured recipe you can actually follow. No database, no searching. Just tell CookE what you want and start cooking.

Along the way, I added things that I kept wishing existed: a chat that lets you swap ingredients or adjust servings without starting over, and a Cook Together mode that splits steps between two people so you and your partner can actually cook in parallel instead of awkwardly taking turns at the stove.

CookE is a solo project. I design it, build it, and use it almost every day. If you have feedback, ideas, or just want to say hi — I'd love to hear from you at hello@getcooke.app or on X / Twitter.
